“I established my brand through a love of beautiful, high-quality fabric. The first fabric I ever bought was a Liberty Tanalawn Cotton. The quality of the cotton, that feeling of luxury and the timelessness of the pattern has stayed with me. I launched the brand in 2014 and started on a capsule clothing collection made from fabrics sourced from UK Mills. All connected to tradition and heritage and who like me understood the importance of quality and authenticity.
All my fabrics are still sourced within the British Isles. We have many suppliers, Harris Tweed, handwoven in the Outer Hebrides, Courtney & Co a family run business whose passion is making buttons, a Scottish waterproof coat fabric manufacturer, Irish Linen from Northern Island. The linings we use are equally important and are of the highest quality, we understand the importance of how a luxury lining fabric feels against the skin.
My clothing is Made in Scotland and the people in the factory and myself, have a mutual respect and an understanding of each other’s contribution to the success of the brand.
The brand has been created to empower aspirational women. The designs offer understated style, elegance, luxury. The Elizabeth Martin woman likes to be different, likes independent brands and buys quality. As the brand evolves I’d like to invite you to come along and join the journey.” – Elizabeth Martin, Founder and Creative Director
